Plan ahead for continuity

Prescription Refills

A refill depends on the prescription on file, remaining authorized refills and medicine supply. Contact us before you run low so there is time to handle any follow-up.

What to know

Before you request

Check how much medication remains and contact the pharmacy before you run out. Weekends, holidays, special orders and the need for clinical or prescriber follow-up can affect timing.

How to request a refill

Use TELUS PharmaConnect for eligible refill requests or contact the pharmacy directly. A request is reviewed before it is prepared and is not confirmation that a prescription is ready.

When more review is needed

If no authorized refills remain or your situation has changed, a pharmacist can review the available next steps. Renewal or prescriber contact is not automatic and depends on the individual prescription.

Before you contact us

Have these details ready.

  • The prescription or medicine name
  • Your Alberta Health Care number and insurance information
  • How much medication remains and any recent changes or questions

Ready to get started?

We can confirm availability, fees, coverage questions and whether an appointment is needed.
